Thank you for your interest in Griffin Hospital’s two Residency Programs under the Department of Preventive Medicine: a 4-year Combined Internal Medicine/Preventive Medicine Residency Program, one of only four of its kind in the nation, and a 2-year Advanced Preventive Medicine Residency Program. I encourage you to explore our website to find out more about each program.
Through innovative curricula, we aim to provide individual growth and leadership opportunities, teach clinical and academic expertise, and engender administrative, research, teaching and mentoring skills. We provide this unique experience through various partnerships, including with the Yale School of Public Health, Yale School of Medicine, Yale Cancer Center, New Haven Health Department, SUNY Downstate (Brooklyn)/ New York Institute for All Hazard Preparedness (NYIAHP), Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine at Tulane University, Stamford Hospital Center for Integrative Medicine and Wellness, University of Connecticut Rushford, and the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine. Additionally, Griffin Hospital is the headquarters of the patient-centered care organization Planetree, Inc. and the Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center. With Griffin Hospital being an Accountable Care Organization through the Value Care Alliance, you will learn population health management in action and tackling social determinants of health.
I am very proud of our Residency Programs and the well-rounded experience we can provide you. As the careers of our graduates can attest, through our rigorous and rewarding training opportunities, you have the potential to impact for good the overall health, well-being, and lives of individuals and populations.
Thank you! I am excited for how you would use your training here at our Program to do good in the world.
Sincerely,
